Assassin’s Creed Syndicate is an action-adventure video game developed by Ubisoft Quebec and published by Ubisoft. On October 23, 2015, it was made available for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and, on November 19, 2015, it was made available for PC. It is the follow-up to 2014’s Assassin’s Creed Unity and the ninth major entry in the Assassin’s Creed series.

A secret war between two factions—the Assassins, who support peace and liberty, and the Templars, who seek peace through control—has been raging for centuries in the fictional history of actual events depicted in the game’s plot, which is based on the Assassin’s Creed franchise.

The same anonymous and unseen protagonist from Assassin’s Creed Unity appears in the framing narrative, which is set in the twenty-first century and aids the assassins in their struggle with the Templars to locate an artifact buried in London. The main plot follows twin assassins Jacob and Evie Frye as they maneuver through the labyrinth of organized crime and retake the city from the control of the Templars in London in 1868, at the start of the Second Industrial Revolution. The game also includes segments set in 1916, during World War I, which follow Jacob’s granddaughter, Lydia Frye.
