ATLUS Confirms Multiple Large-Scale Projects From Shin Megami Tensei & Persona Teams In 2025

ATLUS developers have confirmed that the studio has multiple large-scale projects from the Shin Megami Tensei and Persona teams on track for 2025.

4Gamer is back with its annual end-of-the-year feature, where it interviews well-known people from the game industry for their end-of-the-year comments on the game that impressed or surprised them the most, their most memorable game content, the individual who’s work they enjoyed, and their aspirations for the coming year. In his interview, Kazuhisa Wada, Creative Producer and Chief Director of the Persona Team, shared that 2025 is the year when ATLUS will carefully steer and control several large-scale projects that are on track so that they don’t deviate from their course.

Wada also mentioned that it’s also a time for the studio to prepare do early work on various other projects that are in the pipeline. As such, he’s looking forward to delivering these games to fans someday. He also aid that the collective volume of  these projects is large, so the cost of correcting the trajectory in the case of deviations would be enormous. Though, he assured he will remain committed and not let his guard down.

Meanwhile, Persona 3 Reload director Takuya Yamaguchi said that he’s currently working in a different role than as a director on an unannounced project.

Similarly, Persona 5 Tactica director Naoya Maeda mentioned working on an unannounced title that he was unable to give details about, though he is confident it will offer fans an exciting new experience. Producer Atsushi Nomura added that the development team will  be able to share more about his current project at an appropriate time in the future.

Furthermore, Persona 5: The Phantom X producer Yosuke Uda mentioned that him and the development team are working hard to release the mobile game in 2025. Director Yusuk Nitta added that the team completed the CBT test for the game’s Japanese version on December 5, 2024.

Lastly, Shin Megami Tensei V Shinjiro Takada shared that there is an unannounced title that his team is looking to announce as soon as possible. Currently, it is hard at work on the development of said title, so that fans may play it as soon as possible.
