Atlus is allegedly set to announce multiple projects, including the announcement regarding Shin Megami Tensei heading to additional platforms.
Atlus West is scheduled to hold a panel titled “Atlus Industry Panel”, and the developer claims this is where fans will get to know about all the “exciting happenings”, likely related to the Shin Megami Tensei series. The description of the event states, “By the time you’re reading this, the cat is out of the bag..”, suggesting that some major announcements will be made prior to this panel.
Both the Summer Games Fest and Xbox Showcase are set to happen a few weeks prior to Atlus West’s panel on July 3, 2023. It’s likely that there will be some announcements from the developer at either event. This has further been hinted by Twitter user NWeedle, who recently claimed that Shin Megami Tensei V will soon no longer be exclusive to Nintendo Switch.
Earlier, a leak on 4chan had revealed what appeared to be promotional images for Shin Megami Tensei 4, 4: Apocalypse, and 5, suggesting that they were headed to Xbox, PlayStation, and PC. In addition, the leak revealed that Shin Megami Tensei 3: Nocturne would make its way to Xbox Game Pass. The Steam, Xbox, and PlayStation logos were visible on the promotional images among the listed platforms for Shin Megami Tensei 3, Shin Megami Tensei 4, Shin Megami Tensei 4: Apocalypse, and Shin Megami Tensei 5.
Furthermore, it was previously reported by Twitter user Sn0w1n, who is known for sharing leaks and rumors from the game industry, that Shin Megami Tensei 5 would be heading to Xbox Game Pass in addition to the standard release on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. According to him, the official announcement will be made at the Shin Megami Tensei Series 30th anniversary event. It’s quite likely that the aforementioned leaked images are taken from a presentation that is to be held at the event.
