AYN has announced that prices for both the Thor and Odin 3 handheld gaming devices will increase later this month once the current inventory allocation has been sold.
The company shared the update alongside the launch of the seventh pre-order batch for Thor and the eighth pre-order batch for Odin 3, which became available on June 8.
In a message to customers, the AYN Team said, “We also wanted to give everyone an early heads-up that we’re planning a price increase for both Thor and Odin 3 later this month. The new pricing will take effect once the current inventory allocation is sold through, so if you’ve been thinking about picking one up, now would be a great time to place your order.”
AYN also confirmed that the latest pre-order batch will continue to use UFS 3.1 storage and that orders are expected to begin shipping in August.
Current Odin 3 pricing is listed as:
- Lite (8GB RAM / 128GB storage) – $249
- Base (8GB RAM / 128GB storage) – $319
- Pro (12GB RAM / 256GB storage) – $399
- Max (16GB RAM / 512GB storage) – $469
- Max (16GB RAM / 1TB storage) – $549
The company has not yet revealed the new prices that will take effect after the current allocation sells through. Customers who place an order before the existing stock is exhausted will be able to secure the current pricing.
