Nintendo has released a free demo for Rhythm Heaven Groove on the Nintendo eShop ahead of the game’s launch on July 2, 2026.

The upcoming rhythm title is available to pre-order digitally for $39.99, with pre-loading also now live. According to the eShop listing, the game will require 3.5 GB of storage space on both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.

Rhythm Heaven Groove marks the return of Nintendo’s long-running rhythm series and features more than 80 single-player rhythm games. Players will need to match button presses to the beat across a wide variety of challenges, including catching vegetables, bouncing fruit, swinging hammers, and other offbeat activities.

The game also includes more than 30 multiplayer mini-games that support up to four players on a single system. Some challenges focus on cooperative play, while others have players competing to achieve the best timing.

Nintendo has also introduced a new single-player mode called Beatspell. In this mode, players battle monsters by casting rhythm-based spells, requiring them to time their inputs to the music in order to attack enemies, heal themselves, and progress through encounters.

Music for the game includes original tracks from Japanese musician Tsunku♂, who has been closely associated with the Rhythm Heaven series since its debut.

Rhythm Heaven Groove launches exclusively for Nintendo Switch on July 2, 2026. The newly released demo is available to download now from the Nintendo eShop.
