Back 4 Blood Supports 4K at 60 FPS On PS5 and XSX

Back 4 Blood closed beta is available now on all platforms. This technical analysis compares the different consoles giving us an idea of their performance.

The closed beta is available beginning August 5. It will be followed by an open beta ahead of the game’s launch in October. You can play the beta on all major platforms.

The technical analysis comparing the two console version also stacks them against the PC version running with RTX 3080. It gives a good overview of how the different versions compare against each other.

The good news is that Back 4 Blood runs at 4K resolution on both PS5 and Xbox Series X. On the Xbox Series S, it runs at a lower resolution, calculated at under 1440p but it could be dynamic. The same could apply to the Xbox Series X and PS5 versions.

Since it is a team-based co-op shooter, there is a huge emphasis on making sure it runs at 60 FPS and this is indeed the case. We are not able to confirm if the PS4 and Xbox One versions will also support 60 FPS, but it doesn’t look like they will target 30 FPS.

The PC version obviously wins in this comparison. It supports a wider FOV and also has better ambient occlusion and other visual tweaks that place it above the console versions. If you are not a fan of customizing your visual options, you don’t lose much by sticking to the current-generation consoles.
