Back 4 Blood Closed and Open Beta Start Time and Details
Back 4 Blood is a spiritual successor to Left 4 Dead even just from the name itself. Here’s how you can take part in its closed and open beta soon.
Back 4 Blood is being developed by Turtle Rock Studios, they were behind the superhit (actually flop) Evolve that was released earlier in the last generation. They are trying to bring back their multiplayer experience into a new game with Back 4 Blood. There will be an early access beta as well as an open beta for the game ahead of its launch in October.
If you already have Xbox Game Pass, you don’t really need to purchase it as the game is confirmed to launch on Game Pass in October. If you want to take part in the early access beta, your options are limited.
How To Take Part In Back 4 Blood Early Access Beta
If you want the early access beta, the only choice that gives you a key for certain is to pre-order the game. We have also heard about keys being offered to specific Twitch streamers which can be given to the players as a reward, but we are not sure if this is applicable for everyone.
If you are unable to gain access to the early access beta, you shouldn’t worry as there is an open beta right after it. Here’s when the closed and open beta will take place for Back 4 Blood.
- Early Access Period: August 5 at noon PT – August 9 at noon PT
- Open Beta Period: August 12 at noon PT – August 16 at noon PT
The following content is available as part of the early access beta.
- Two maps for the all-new “Swarm” player-versus-player (PvP) mode where two squads of four face off in a best-of-three series of rounds swapping between playing as the Cleaners and the Ridden
- Two co-op PvE maps to fight off Ridden with your friends
- Play as Mom for the first time, along with Evangelo, Holly, Walker, and Hoffman
- Variety of weapons to check out, cards to build decks and Ridden to slay
- Ability to explore Fort Hope

Back 4 Blood will arrive on October 12, 2021, for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC.
