Batman Gotham Knights May be Upgrading its Coop to 4 Players

Batman Gotham Knights may be upgrading its coop to 4 players, according to the latest findings. Heading over to the game’s page on the PlayStation Store reveals some changes to the mentioned information. It was previously stated on Batman Gotham Knights’ store page that the game would only support 2 player coop. However, that is no longer the case.

The game’s PSN page now states that it is a 4 player game. This would imply that its multiplayer features have seen an upgrade. It’s likely that with the additional development time afforded to the WB Games Montreal, the studio was able to improve the game’s multiplayer component.

This can only be seen as a positive, especially given that Rocksteady’s Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, the other 4 player game set in the DC universe, has also been delayed. DC fans should get their 4 player coop fix through Batman Gotham Knights, and make the wait for Suicide Squad a bit more bearable.

For the uninitiated, Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is an action-adventure game set in a Metropolis-inspired open environment. Captain Boomerang, Deadshot, Harley Quinn, and King Shark are the four playable characters in the game. The game has a four-player cooperative multiplayer option in addition to a solo mode. When playing solo, players can swap between characters at any time, while the AI controls the other characters. It is slated for release in early 2023 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.

Meanwhile, Batman Gotham Knights will be available for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on October 25, 2022. The game centers around Nightwing, Batgirl, Robin, and Red Hood, who are entrusted with restoring justice to Gotham City amid a time of decline following Batman’s death. The heroes come into combat with the Court of Owls, a secret society as old as Gotham itself, and its legion of brainwashed assassins known as Talons, while investigating Batman’s inexplicable absence.
