Blood Of Dawnwalker Gameplay Trailer Reveals Key Features

by Greg Martin

The Blood of Dawnwalker has received a new trailer highlighting its open world, combat system and unique day and night mechanics ahead of its September 3 launch. Developed by Rebel Wolves and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment America, the dark fantasy action RPG follows Coen, a protagonist who is human during the day and becomes a vampire at night.

Set in the dangerous region of Vale Sangora, the game puts players in a struggle against the Vrakhiris, the vampires ruling over the area. The new trailer introduces the vampire faction before turning its attention to Coen and the mechanics that will shape his journey.

One of the central systems is the game’s use of time as a resource. Coen has 30 days and 30 nights to save his family, creating a limited window in which players must decide how to approach their objectives.

Time does not automatically advance simply because players are exploring Vale Sangora. However, certain quests and actions will consume portions of the available time, meaning players will need to consider which objectives they pursue as they work towards rescuing Coen’s family.

The trailer also provides a closer look at combat, which combines Coen’s human abilities with his supernatural powers. Players can fight using sharp blades and vampire claws, with the combat system designed to accommodate different playstyles.

The combination of Coen’s dual nature and the time-based structure forms the foundation of the adventure. Players will have to manage their limited time while dealing with the vampires controlling Vale Sangora and making use of Coen’s abilities during both sides of his existence.

The Blood of Dawnwalker launches on September 3 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
