The pre-load date and download size for Activision, Treyarch, and Raven Software’s upcoming first-person shooter, Call of Duty Black Ops 6, have been revealed.
PlayStationSize on Twitter/X has revealed the pre-load date and download size for Call of Duty Black Ops 6 on PS4, courtesy of recent database entries made to PlayStation servers. Compared to prior entries the latest title in the popular first-person shooter series will take up a modest amount of storage space. Nevertheless, those with limited available space on the internal storage drive are advised to clear up some space in advance. It goes without saying that storage expansion options are available for those who need them.

The download size and current update version for Call of Duty Black Ops 6 on PS4 and PS5 can be seen below.

The pre-load for Call of Duty Black Ops 6 on PS4 and PS5 will come with the latest update pre-installed for anyone who pre-ordered a digital copy of the game, though a day one update may be rolled out closer to release on October 25, 2024. Meanwhile, those who purchased the game on disc will need to download the update. Those who pre-ordered the game will be able to pre-load it on October 20, 2024.
The total download size for the PS4 version of Call of Duty Black Ops 6, including the Campaign Pack 1, the Campaign Pack 2, and the Multiplayer Pack, is nearly 40 GB. The download size of the PS5 version isn’t known at this point in time, though it is expected to support high resolution textures, and, therefore, be larger than the previous-gen version.
Black Ops 6 is set to be released on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S, and is also scheduled to be available to subscribers of select Xbox Game Pass plans on release day.
