When will Modern Warfare 2 Get Hardcore Mode?

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 will indeed get the eagerly awaited Hardcore mode. However, it is currently not available. Infinity Ward has confirmed that Hardcore, also known as Tier 1 in the brand new Call of Duty game, won’t be offered at launch. For now, fans of the mode will have to make do with the variety of core modes that are available, including Team Deathmatch, Hardpoint, and Prisoner Capture.

Infinity Ward has confirmed in an official blog post that Hardcore mode will be available after November 16, 2022, once the game’s Season 1 is available. Though, it’s currently not clear whether the mode will be available from day one of the first season, or a week or so later.

Previously, it was revealed that the Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 campaign requires a persistent internet connection in order to run on PC. Those who pre-ordered their copy of Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 were given early access to the single-player campaign on October 20, 2022. However, PC players quickly learned that it is not possible to play the campaign without having a persistent internet connection.
