Can You Play AAA Games on Your iPhone 15 Now?

Since the iPhone 15 from Apple was released in September 2023, many people in the gaming community have been asking the same question: is it possible to play any high-end, triple-A (AAA) video games? Let’s dive straight in to find out.

Is it possible to play AAA games on my new iPhone 15?

Yes and no. Playing AAA video games natively on the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max devices is now possible. However, there are only a handful of titles available.

Some say it’s a huge step in the right direction and that it could end up completely redefining the handheld and mobile gaming sector.

If you want to see what a triple-A game looks like on your new device, the main games currently available to play are Resident Evil Village, Death Stranding, and Ubisoft’s Assassin’s Creed Mirage, which is set to arrive on October 5th.

You can also still play your favourite social multiplayer games, various other RPG and MMORPG games, several top casino games, indie games, puzzle games, and so much more. However, if you want to see what your new iPhone 15 is capable of, check out some of these triple-A games first.

Popular AAA games that may also soon come to the iPhone Pro series

If the games perform as well as everyone hopes they will, it would also be great if we could see some of the following triple-A games made available in the Apple iPhone Pro Series:

  • Cyberpunk 2077
  • Grand Theft Auto V
  • The Witcher: Wild Hunt
  • Red Dead Redemption 2
  • Horizon Zero Dawn
  • Far Cry 6

You may also soon be able to play various other hit titles, such as Alien: Isolation, XCOM2, DOOM Eternal, Deathloop, Monster Hunter: World, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, Final Fantasy VII Remake, God of War, Halo Infinite, and Forza Horizon 5, to name just a few great games.

What other smartphones are great for gaming besides the iPhone Pro series?

Many impressive smartphones are great for gaming for various reasons, but the best overall, for many people, is the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. In terms of battery life, a phone that can handle hours of triple-A games without dying on you at those crucial moments is the Asus ROG Phone 7 Ultimate.

The iPhone 14 Pro Max is also a fantastic device for playing a handful of today’s best video games. If you’re on a budget and still want to play these games, then you may be more interested in the Motorola Edge Plus. It’s by far the best value-for-money dedicated gaming smartphone.

If you’re looking for a smartphone that doesn’t take long to fully charge, you may want to get the OnePlus 10T. The smartphone with the best built-in gaming features has to be the Xiaomi Black Shark 5 Pro, and the best smartphone in terms of software has to be the Google Pixel 7 Pro.

We also can’t forget to mention the impressive Nubia RedMagic 8 Pro – one of the best gaming smartphones next to the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra.

I’m not too bothered about Android or iOS smartphones for gaming. Are there any proper handheld gaming devices these days?

If you would rather not play games from your smartphone but still want to enjoy some of these hit titles at your fingertips, you’re not alone. There are several impressive handheld gaming devices to enjoy playing the world’s best video games.

If you’re a Nintendo fan, you may be interested in the Nintendo Switch, the Nintendo Switch Lite, or the Nintendo Switch OLED. You also have the Playstation Vita. However, the Asus ROG Ally is proving to be extremely popular, as well as the Valve SteamDeck.

Before investing in a mobile or dedicated handheld gaming device, the best thing to do is shop around and try to find the best deals. Also, don’t forget that it’s possible to turn your iPhone 15 (or whatever model you have) into a handheld gaming device by purchasing an attachable smartphone controller.

They can help you pull off some of those tricky moves that are hard to pull off, and they can take your mobile gaming experience to the next level. Some of the best gaming controllers out there are the Razer Kishi for Android devices, the Razer Kishi V2 for iOS smartphones, and the Backbone One for iOS.

You also have the Nacon MG-X Controllers for Android devices, the Turtle Beach Atom for Android 8.0+ Devices with Bluetooth 4.2, and the Turtle Beach Atom D4X Controller for Android devices.
