Crimson Desert’s first paid DLC, Charting the Unknown, launches today, October 29, 2026, with a download size of 17.743 GB. The update is listed as version 01.000.662 and is available for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
The expansion was originally scheduled to arrive in mid-October before Pearl Abyss delayed its release by two weeks. It brings new ocean areas to explore, naval combat, underwater diving mechanics, and expanded housing systems. The DLC also continues the storylines of Kliff and his companions.
Crimson Desert launched on March 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, macOS, and PC. Initially conceived as an MMORPG, the game ultimately released as a single-player open-world action-adventure set across the fantasy continent of Pywel. It sold more than three million copies during its first week.
Pearl Abyss developed and published Crimson Desert using its proprietary BlackSpace Engine. The South Korean studio, headquartered in Gwacheon, is also known for the MMORPG Black Desert Online.
