Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster Announced For PC and Consoles

Capcom has announced a remaster of Dead Rising with the reveal of Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster. More details will be shared later.

Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster reveal trailer showcased the opening of the game with Frank West going to the famous Willamette Mall during the zombie outbreak. He has covered wars, you know! Anyway, things go wrong as expected and Frank West doesn’t have a lot of time to survive.

There are no details shared on how Capcom is planning to improve the game aside from the visual upgrade and a different character model for Frank West.

Based on the reveal trailer, we can already see that this is a complete remake just from the visual perspective. Capcom is still calling it a remaster for some reason. They might retain a lot of the gameplay mechanics from the original game instead of going for a full revamp.

The reveal trailer didn’t mention any platforms aside from confirming that it will be available for the “newest generation of platforms.” This likely points to the game launching for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S|X, in addition to other potential new platforms like the upcoming Switch successor.

A new artwork for the game was also released along with the reveal trailer. You can check it out below. It also shows the new character design for Frank West and it closely matches the reveal trailer.

Fans might have a lot to be excited about considering Dead Rising as a franchise has been laying dormant for a while. If Capcom is willing to bring it back going all the way to its original release and improving it substantially, this can potentially revitalize the franchise.

Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster will be available for PC and consoles. No further details have been shared on the game by Capcom.
