Call of Duty Vanguard has been announced today. We have covered all of the major details for the game, so what about the disk space?
It turns out, the game won’t take up that much space if we compare it to its predecessors like Modern Warfare and the ever-evolving Warzone. It is still quite bulky though, and there are still two content packs that don’t have a size as of yet, so we don’t know how much additional space will be required once you consider them.
Call of Duty Vanguard File Size On Xbox One
The file size of the Xbox One and Xbox Series version is different. On the Xbox Series X, the game will take up 95 GB. On the Xbox One, it will require 75 GB. There is a cross-generation bundle that shows the file size is 270 GB, or in other words, it is massive. We will get to it in a minute though.
So aside from the base game, which we have reported above, what else will eat the disc space? There is likely going to be a massive day one update which will add to the existing file size. Not to mention the post-launch updates will just keep increasing it. You do have the choice to install the game in parts e.g just the campaign or multiplayer, so that will reduce the overall size.
COD Vanguard Beta File Size
There is a beta version as well, and when we count both the Xbox One and Xbox Series X beta, it comes to around 50 GB each. This, when combined, leads to 100 GB. If you add this to the 170 GB for the cross-generation bundle, the total comes to roughly 270 GB, which is the file size on the Microsoft Store. The more you know!
Call of Duty Vanguard will be released on November 5, 2021, for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One Xbox Series, and PC.
