Square Enix has opened pre-registration for Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy on iOS and Android devices ahead of its planned 2026 launch. Players can now sign up through the App Store and Google Play to secure in-game rewards that will be distributed when the free-to-play title goes live.
Alongside the announcement, Square Enix released the game’s opening cinematic, offering a first look at how familiar Final Fantasy characters are reimagined in a modern-day Tokyo setting. The video shows several iconic warriors going about their daily routines before a sudden Behemoth attack in the Ginza district forces them to unite in defense of the city.
To mark the start of pre-registration, the publisher has launched a celebration campaign that includes a login bonus at release. Players who pre-register can expect daily rewards once the game launches, including items equivalent to 40 Ability Draw pulls, comprised of 20 Draw Tickets and 3000 MogPay Points. The campaign will also grant 8 background music tracks from previous Dissidia entries and 5 Character Tickets that can be used to unlock select fighters.
A separate social media raffle is also underway. Fans who follow the official Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy account on X and repost designated giveaway posts between now and February 27 will be entered for a chance to win promotional merchandise. Across three days of entries, 10 winners per day will receive a DDFF Opening Cinematic Art Clear File Folder.
Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy is the newest entry in the Dissidia sub-series, bringing together characters from across the long-running Final Fantasy franchise. The game centers on 3 vs 3 team-based boss battles in which two opposing teams, alongside roaming monsters, compete to defeat a shared boss faster than their rivals. The action features cel-shaded visuals and streamlined controls designed for one-handed play.
In addition to its arena combat, the game includes a fully Japanese-voiced main story as well as shorter episodes that focus on the daily lives of its characters. Ability artwork is contributed by multiple artists, continuing the series emphasis on stylized character presentation.
Dissidia Duellum Final Fantasy is scheduled to launch as a free-to-play release on mobile platforms in 2026.
