Dragon Age: The Veilguard Update 1.003 Improves Gameplay and Fixes Major Bugs

EA has released update 1.003 for Dragon Age The Veilguard, bringing a set of new improvements and features designed around gameplay.

Dragon Age The Veilguard Update 1.003 includes several quality of life changes and bug fixes to enhance the player experience. Notable improvements include the ability to bind arrow keys to input mappings and the addition of filters to Photo Mode, making it easier to capture and organize in-game screenshots. The file path for screenshots is now displayed in-game, and it’s easier to identify where enchantments have been applied to companions’ equipment. Additionally, new rings can now be compared against both equipped ring slots, and notifications will appear when the Crossroads’ Spirit Merchant is available. The update also introduces new icons for some weapons and adjustments to various in-game settings for a smoother experience.

In terms of bug fixes, several crashes have been eliminated, and specific character issues, such as unexpected changes to Rook’s body shape and odd facial expressions, have been addressed. The update also includes several gameplay adjustments such as improved AI speeder usage, enhanced enemy detection, and more precise weapon aiming. Issues with NPCs, such as getting stuck or being unreachable, have been resolved, and adjustments to various quests and in-game objects ensure a more seamless gameplay experience. Improvements to textures, visual effects, and HDR calibration further enhance the overall visual quality of the game.

Dragon Age The Veilguard is available now for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S|X. The game doesn’t appear to have sold that well based on its debut month sales.
