Bandai Namco Entertainment has revealed new details for the upcoming Dragon Ball Sparking Zero Neo DLC, outlining a substantial content drop that expands both the roster and gameplay systems. The expansion, scheduled for release in summer 2026, introduces more than 30 additional characters alongside new modes, stages, and customization options.

The character lineup draws heavily from Dragon Ball and GT, while also incorporating select fighters from Z and Super. Confirmed additions include multiple variants of GT-era Vegeta and Trunks, alongside characters such as Super Saiyan Bardock, King Piccolo, Pikkon, and Super 17. Other names appearing in the roster range from legacy figures like Mercenary Tao and Grandpa Gohan to more niche inclusions such as Devilman, General Blue, and Nam. Characters like Champa, Jaco, Cheelai, and Uub further broaden the selection, while GT-specific entries including Nuova Shenron and Hell 17 reinforce the expansion’s thematic focus.

Beyond the roster, the DLC introduces more than 20 customization items, covering both costumes and special attacks. Four new stages are also being added, including Kami’s Palace, Kame House, Bitter Tundra, and Stratosphere, each designed to reflect iconic settings from across the franchise.

A new game mode, described as RPG-lite, will allow players to select fights and level up their chosen fighter over time, marking a shift toward progression-based gameplay within the fighting framework. The update also aligns with the broader Neo theme, drawing inspiration from the Sparking NEO era while incorporating modern systems.

Dragon Ball Sparking Zero is developed by Spike Chunsoft and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. The Neo DLC represents the fourth major expansion for the game and will launch across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, and Windows, with Nintendo Switch 2 and Switch versions set to receive the content at a later stage.
