Elden Ring Nightreign Rated in Singapore, Revealing New Story and Gameplay Details

by Ali Haider

Elden Ring Nightreign has officially been rated in Singapore with an Advisory 16 classification. Set in the dark fantasy world of Limveld, the game offers players an immersive journey filled with exploration, combat, and narrative-driven choices.

In Elden Ring Nightreign, players take on the role of a Nightfarer, tasked with combating a mysterious phenomenon called the Night’s Tide, which is engulfing the realm of Limveld. This gripping adventure pits players against various adversaries, including the formidable Night Lords, as they strive to restore balance to the land.

The gameplay involves exploring dynamic environments like ruins, plains, and castles from a third-person perspective. Players will interact with NPCs, uncover items, and engage in combat. The game introduces a unique three-day-and-night cycle where the map shrinks at night due to the encroaching Night’s Tide, adding a layer of urgency to the player’s journey. Combat rewards, including currency and items, are crucial for upgrading equipment and character traits. Players can find refuge in Sites of Grace to recover health, while dialogue and action choices influence the narrative direction.

The Advisory 16 rating highlights the game’s depiction of moderate violence. Players can expect melee and ranged combat featuring swords, axes, arrows, and magical attacks, resulting in realistic but not overly graphic blood effects. Scenes of defeated enemies collapsing and disintegrating, as well as encounters with skeletal remains and bloodstains, contribute to the mature atmosphere. One particularly intense sequence involves a character committing seppuku, while others depict characters being bludgeoned or attacked by creatures.

Elden Ring Nightreign is scheduled to launch on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC in 2025. There is no official release date yet, but with the new rating, an announcement might be coming soon.

Bandai Namco has confirmed they will hold a Network Test for the game before the official launch, with the first test expected in February 2025.
