FromSoftware has released Elden Ring update 1.16.1, addressing two notable issues that impacted gameplay balance and online functionality. The patch fixes a bug that caused certain weapons to apply the wrong affinity or status effect under specific conditions, ensuring more consistent combat behavior.

Additionally, the update resolves an online exploit where players could bypass blocking features across platforms. With this patch, online interactions should be more secure and stable. Players must update to version 1.16.1 to continue accessing online features.
