Previously, while speaking during an interview with BBC, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Director Naoki Hamaguchi revealed that, in terms of length, just doing the main story alone will take around 40 to 50 hours to complete. According to him, the game has tons of side content and places to explore. He added that there’s actually more side content here than there is main story content. For completionists who will try to do everything, dig deep, explore the world and find everything, the game’s length will easily be around 100 hours. Additionally, regarding Final Fantasy VII Rebirth’s open world, Hamaguchi stated that, unlike The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, it won’t be a “go anywhere you want, do anything you want” style of game from the very beginning.
