Xbox Game Studios and Playground Games’ next racing game, Forza Horizon 6, may have accidentally been confirmed by Australian car import company, Cult & Classic.

Australian car import company Cult & Classic recently shared a post on Instagram (via Reddit user RexSonic), in which it potentially leaked the existence of Forza Horizon 6. It mentioned that a developer who worked on the Forza Horizon series dropped by to take pictures of its cars. The vehicle shown in the post, a late-model Kei car, appears to suggest that the next entry in the Forza Horizon series will be set in Japan, as the car brand is known for its presence in t he country.

What’s even more interesting is that Cult & Classic’s aforementioned Instagram post was deleted soon after, indicating that at least some of the information was not meant to be shared at this point in time. Given the success of the Forza Horizon series, it’s a no-brainer for Microsoft and Playground Games to work on another entry. The interesting part here is the possibility of the game taking place in Japan, a location that fans have been hoping to see for some time.

A recent job listing for the position of Level Designer at Playground Games stated that the candidate would be part of the next AAA Forza Horizon title’s level design team. Read about it here.

The previous entry in the series, Forza Horizon 5, is set in an open-world environment based on a fictitious Mexico. The game features the largest map in the Forza Horizon series, which is 50 percent larger than its predecessor, Forza Horizon 4, as well as the game’s highest point. Creative director Mike Brown hailed the map as “one of the most diverse Forza Horizon layouts the team has produced.” An active caldera volcano, forests and beaches, historic Mayan temples, and towns and cities like Guanajuato can all be found on the map.
