Gears of War E-Day Could Target September Window, Suggests Leaker

Gears of War E-Day may be targeting a September 2026 release window, according to comments from Call of Duty leaker GhostOfHope, though no official confirmation has been provided by Xbox.

The claim surfaced during a discussion on social media, where GhostOfHope suggested that Microsoft’s release schedule could influence timing for other major titles. Responding to speculation about Call of Duty’s launch window, the leaker stated, “They’re not doing September cause Xbox has Gears and other stuff then,” implying that Gears of War E-Day is planned for that period.

While the statement was not presented as a direct leak, it has drawn attention due to the source’s track record with Call of Duty related information. Still, the timing remains speculative, and Microsoft has yet to announce a specific release date for the upcoming title.

Gears of War E-Day is currently scheduled for release in 2026 on PC and Xbox Series X and S. Developed by The Coalition in partnership with People Can Fly, the game serves as a prequel set fourteen years before the original trilogy, focusing on Marcus Fenix and Dom Santiago during the early stages of the Locust invasion.

Built using Unreal Engine 5, the game is expected to shift toward a more linear and horror-focused experience, depicting the chaos of Emergence Day as humanity faces the sudden and violent emergence of the Locust Horde.
