Gears Of War: Reloaded Runs Best At 120 FPS On PS5 Pro, But Base PS5 & Xbox Series Versions Show Comparable Quality

The multiplayer beta for Xbox Game Studios and The Initiatives’ third-person shooter, Gears of War: Reloaded, is now available on PS5, PS5 Pro, and Xbox Series X|S, and if you’re wondering how the different versions compare on the technical front, read ahead.

In terms of visual settings, the PS5, PS5 Pro, and Xbox Series X version of Gears of War: Reloaded show no major difference in terms of graphics settings, both in Graphics and Performance modes. Meanwhile, the Xbox Series S version exhibits some minor texture and shadow clipping both modes.

In terms image quality, both the PS5 and Xbox Series X version of Gears of War: Reloaded operate at a dynamic resolution that is in the range of 1440 p to 1552p in Graphics mode and 914p to 1080p in Performance mode. The PS5 Pro version also operates at a dynamic resolution that is in the range of 1440 p to 1800p in Graphics mode and 1440p to 1607p in Performance mode.. Meanwhile, the dynamic resolution in the Xbox Series S version s in the range of 960p to 1080p in Graphics mode and 700p to 960p in Performance mode.

With regards to performance, the PS5, PS5 Pro, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S versions of Gears of War: Reloaded target a frame rate of 60 fps in Graphics mode and 120 fps in Performance mode, and are able to maintain both targets on a consistent basis.

It’s worth remembering that the metrics shared in his comparison are from the Gears of War: Reloaded multiplayer beta, and that results may vary in the final version.
