Ghost of Tsushima has been updated to version 1.17 by Sucker Punch. This update is for general bug fixes and improvements as seen in the patch notes.
Sucker Punch usually shares the details on every update for Ghost of Tsushima on their official social media account. This is not the case so far for the latest update. They haven’t posted anything new regarding a potential patch for the game.
If we go by the changelog mentioned on the PS4, there doesn’t appear to be any meaningful details included in the patch notes. It simply says that this patch was for bug fixes and improvements.
Sucker Punch recently shared a tweet confirming new weekly challenges for Ghost of Tsushima: Legends, so this update could be related to the weekly challenges.
“Check in-game to see this week’s Nightmare Story and Survival missions with unique modifiers. Beat them (along with bonus objectives) for max-level gear, or re-challenge The Tale of Iyo for weekly rewards,” reads the tweet of Sucker Punch.
So far, there are no indications that this is a major update. It is just under 500 MB on PS4, so the update size itself is also small.
