GORN Announced For PSVR 2 As Game Passes 1.5 Million Copies Sold

Devolver Digital has announced a significant sales milestone for its virtual reality game, GORN. The company confirmed that the game has sold over 1.5 Million copies across all platforms, marking a significant achievement for the studio.

GORN was first released on PC in 2019 and quickly became a fan favorite due to its unique combat mechanics and over-the-top violence. The game was later released on the PSVR 2 in 2020, where it has continued to receive critical acclaim.

Following its success on the PSVR, Devolver Digital has now confirmed that GORN will also be launching on the PSVR 2. The game will be available for purchase on the PlayStation Store, supporting both PS4 and PS5, for the price of $19.99.

Developed by Free Lives, the creators of the hit game Broforce, GORN is a virtual reality gladiator simulator that puts players in the shoes of a gladiator in an ancient arena. The game’s combat engine relies on physics, allowing players to use a wide range of weapons creatively to defeat their opponents.

Players can use weapons such as swords, maces, bows, nunchucks, throwing knives, massive two-handed warhammers, and even their bare hands to crush and destroy their foes. With no limitations on the game’s violence, players are free to indulge in their most savage and brutal gladiatorial fantasies.

GORN, despite featuring some over-the-top violence, presents it in a cartoony visual style that doesn’t feel overly realistic or gross. Check out the trailer above to get an idea of the type of entertainment the game offers.

GORN is available now for the PSVR, PSVR 2, and PC. You can grab the game on Steam if you want, or get it on the PlayStation consoles. Either way, there are plenty of ways to have fun with the VR world offered in GORN.
