Grand Theft Auto V PC Update Removes 120 FPS Cap, Adds New Vehicles

by Ali Haider

Rockstar Games has released a major upgrade for Grand Theft Auto V on PC, bringing several enhancements and features previously exclusive to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Players can now experience optimized performance, new vehicles, and improved technical capabilities, including support for ray-traced ambient occlusion and global illumination. Additionally, this update removes the previous 120 FPS frame rate cap, allowing for even smoother gameplay on high-refresh-rate monitors. Players who already own GTA V on PC can upgrade for free and migrate their Story Mode and GTA Online progress to the enhanced version.

The update also introduces new GTA Online features, including access to Hao’s Special Works, which allows for high-performance modifications and exclusive Chameleon Paints. Newly added vehicles include the Pegassi Weaponized Ignus, Coil Cyclone II, Karin S95, Imponte Arbiter GT, and Pfister Astron Custom, all of which can be tuned at HSW. GTA+ has also arrived on PC, offering exclusive perks, including a free Principe Deveste Eight for subscribers. Other additions include ambient animals in the game world, a daily Wildlife Photography Challenge, a refreshed GTA Online landing page, and improved onboarding for new players with the Career Builder.
