Hollow Knight: Silksong Patch 1.0.29242 Updates Input System and Resolves More Bugs

Team Cherry has released Patch 1.0.29242 for Hollow Knight: Silksong, introducing a range of technical and gameplay improvements that refine the overall experience. The highlight of this update is the full integration of Unity’s Input System, bringing better controller recognition, improved rumble functionality, and wider compatibility across multiple devices. The patch also incorporates a fan-provided Simplified Chinese translation by Team Cart Fix, along with extensive localization updates for all supported languages.

Alongside these improvements, the patch delivers numerous gameplay fixes, addressing issues related to equipment, attacks, and boss interactions. Several items and mechanics, including the Multibinder, Wreath of Purity, and Gurr the Outcast’s attack behavior, have been fine-tuned for smoother play. Additional bug corrections resolve problems with Hornet’s plasmified state, void conductivity, and enemy collisions, ensuring greater stability and consistency across the game.

  • Addressed several instances of Hornet’s plasmified state being cleared incorrectly (e.g., during Bellway travel).
  • Fixed issues when entering the plasmified state via Winged Lifeseed kills instead of the Plasmium Phial.
  • Reduced the excessive bind time when using Multibinder with the Shaman crest.
  • Updated Multibinder’s initial bind to clear maggots based on community feedback.
