Horizon Forbidden West Update 1.029 Patch Notes

The remastered version of Horizon Zero Dawn aims to significantly improve the original game, which was released in 2017. It will include engine enhancements from Horizon Forbidden West, providing a better visual experience and gameplay.

Developed by Guerrilla Games and Nixxes, the remaster will refine many aspects of the original title. One major improvement is the upgrade of in-game environments, especially the terrain and foliage. Nixxes’ environment artists have enhanced hundreds of environmental assets to create a more realistic and diverse world. Players will see these improvements across different biomes, with better detail in both natural and artificial elements, resulting in more immersive and vibrant landscapes.

Another highlight of the remaster is the improved character models and animations. Over 10 hours of new motion-capture data have been added, resulting in more realistic expressions and smoother interactions. The lighting system has also been upgraded to match that of Horizon Forbidden West, ensuring a consistent visual experience as players explore vast outdoor areas or engage in detailed conversations. Character models, including the main character Aloy, have received updates to features like skin textures and hair quality, enhancing their overall look and interaction with changing weather conditions.
