Footage from an early development build of WB Games Montreal’s canceled Damian Wayne Batman game has apparently been leaked.

In his new video (at 8:13) on the possibility of Rocksteady Studios working on a new Batman game, content creator The Atomsmith brought up the canceled projects that have happened in between Arkham Knight and Arkham Shadow. Footage from what appears to be an early development build of WB Games Montreal’s canceled Batman game featuring Damian Wayne was briefly shown.

The leaked footage shows a chase sequence, with Batman in pursuit of Killer Croc on his Batcycle. It’s worth noting that the Killer Croc character model seen in the footage is a placeholder from Batman: Arkham Origins. Since its early footage, none of the environmental assets and props have been textured.

Going by the apparent leaked footage from WB Games Montreal’s canceled Batman game, the Batcycle seems to have been an important part of gameplay, with the game likely featuring several chase sequences and vehicular combat sections. Earlier this year in March, artist Daniel Simon has shared concept art of the Batcycle he developed for an unreleased Batman project from Warner Bros Games. He mentioned that the Batcycle had several upgrade options, his favorite of which was an armored shield. According to him, the latter was inspired by folded bat wings. The Batcycle was also seen in artwork from former Warner Bros Montreal artist Goran Bukvic.

Following the launch of Arkham Origins in 2013, WB Games Montreal began work on an Arkham Knight sequel that focused on Damian Wayne. However, the project was ultimately canceled, and the studio then began working on Gotham Knights in 2017. A prior leak had revealed that the game would feature a rundown Gotham, Two-Face, Gorilla Grodd, Flamingo, Black Mask, Penguin, Dick Grayson, Old Bruce Wayne, and the Nemesis System from Middle-Earth: Shadow of War.
