A list of all playable characters featured in the Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 campaign has allegedly been leaked, raising questions regarding Black Ops 2’s ending.
Known Call of Duty insider TheGhostOfHope took to Twitter/X to share the identities of all the playable characters featured in the Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 4-player co-op campaign. The alleged revelation raises questions regarding the overarching narrative and timeline, as at one of the listed characters had died in Black Ops 2’s canonical ending.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 Campaign Playable Characters Leaked
The aforementioned list of leaked playable characters featured in the Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 campaign can be seen below.
David “Section” Mason
Mike Harper
Eric Samuels
Chloe “Karma” Lynch
Call of Duty fans will remember that Black Ops 2’s ending leaves players with the choice of killing or sparing Mike Harper. In the event that he is spared, the person who ends up dying would have gone on to save Chloe “Karma” Lynch. Hence, it was possible to save either of Harper and Karma alive, but no scenario had both of them remaining alive at the end. If the information is correct, both characters will be a part of David Mason’s 4-person squad.
The Black Ops series is known for its extravagant plot twists, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see things like this happen. It’ll be interesting to see how developer Treyarch plans to make sense of the story in the context of the overarching timeline.
Black Ops 7 Multiplayer Map Count Revealed
The insider also revealed the number of maps that will be available in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7. According to them, there will be 16 6 vs 6 maps at launch, 13 of which will be brand new original maps while the remaining 3 will be remastered maps from Black Ops 2. The game is also said to feature 2 maps for the Skirmish large-scale mode with wingsuits. Furthermore, it is expected to receive plenty of post-launch content.
