Insomniac Games has released a new update for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, which has updated the game to version 1.002.002. However, there are no patch notes available for this update. It appears to be another bug fix that was deployed since Insomniac Games accidentally made the debug mode accessible in the game. This was possible with the launch of the last major update, but it has been subsequently pulled down with another patch that closed the loophole.
The latest update 1.002.002 for Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 is mainly a stability patch, but the nature of its bug fixes is not yet revealed. The good news is that you won’t need to download a large update for this.

Since the last major update, Insomniac Games introduced a significant amount of new content and features, including the much-anticipated New Game+ (NG+) mode. NG+ allows players to exceed the original level cap of the game through Ultimate Levels, which are independent of the game’s difficulty settings. This mode also includes several new elements, such as Symbiote Suit Styles, Golden Gadget Styles for gadget upgrades, and the ability to utilize both perks in a shared Suit Tech slot.
Additionally, the update introduced a plethora of features aimed at enhancing the overall gaming experience. Players can now replay missions, adjust the time of day post-game, customize Tendril Colors, and enjoy improvements in Photo Mode, including an Action Figure Mode and new stickers. The addition of two new suits inspired by the Hellfire Gala and a Fly N’ Fresh Suit Pack for Peter and Miles.
The update also focuses on accessibility, making the game more inclusive and enjoyable for a broader audience. New features such as Audio Descriptions and Screen Reader support, available in multiple languages, have been implemented to narrate key visuals, actions, and menu texts. The game now offers Mono Audio options, customizable captions, In-World Text Translations, and High Contrast Outlines to enhance the visibility of enemies and allies.
