Metroid Prime 4: Beyond Rated in Brazil Ahead of Rumored September Nintendo Direct

The long-awaited Metroid Prime 4: Beyond may be nearing a release date reveal, as the game has now received an official age classification in Brazil. The country’s Ministry of Justice and Public Security published an analysis dated September 5, 2025, assigning the title a 14+ age rating due to its depictions of violence.

According to the classification report, violent acts, weapons combat, and moments of intentional death were cited as major concerns, with the latter becoming the decisive factor in pushing the rating into the 14+ bracket. Other elements, such as blood and corpse exposure, were noted but described as low in frequency. The analysis also emphasized that the game’s more graphic content was softened by its sci-fi setting, where fantasy context helps mitigate impact.

This development adds further fuel to speculation surrounding a rumored Nintendo Direct presentation scheduled for September 12. Multiple insiders have suggested the showcase will deliver several major announcements, and the timing of this rating strongly hints that Metroid Prime 4: Beyond could finally receive a concrete release date.

The anticipation does not end there. Reports suggest that The Pokémon Company may unveil a new spin-off project, separate from the upcoming Pokémon Legends ZA. Well-known leaker Riddler Khu teased that fans should expect something fresh during the Direct, with insider Necrolipe later backing the claim. Adding intrigue, content creator SwitchForce described the event as a “777 jackpot,” implying that three major titles tied to the number seven could appear.

There is also mounting speculation around third-party involvement. Insider NWeedle shared a cryptic reference to Resident Evil 7, hinting at its arrival on Nintendo Switch 2. Another source, Attackdabacklog, suggested that a Capcom horror title is slated for reveal, further fueling talk of significant third-party announcements.

With the presentation expected just a day before Mario’s 40th anniversary, fans anticipate that Nintendo will not only focus on beloved franchises like Metroid but also celebrate its most iconic mascot. Whether the company delivers on the growing list of rumors remains to be seen, but the recent Brazilian rating suggests that Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is finally preparing to step into the spotlight.
