Monster Hunter Wilds Ver. 1.011 Update Adds Street Fighter 6 Collaboration and 8-Star Monsters

by Ali Haider

The upcoming Ver. 1.011 update for Monster Hunter Wilds, scheduled to launch on May 28, brings with it a significant wave of content enhancements and gameplay changes. Among the most prominent features is a special collaboration with Street Fighter 6, introducing Akuma as a unique equipment-based guest character. Players can obtain both a full armor set and a layered armor variant of Akuma, which come with unique item bar actions: Assisted Combo: Akuma, Drive Impact, and Gou Hadoken. When equipped with the full set, these skills receive additional bonuses, including the ability to unleash Akuma’s signature Shun Goku Satsu attack under specific conditions.

Beyond the crossover, players can look forward to new 8-star tempered monsters including Gore Magala, Rey Dau, Uth Duna, Nu Udra, and Jin Dahaad. These formidable beasts become available at Hunter Rank 41 and above, offering a new tier of challenge with increased health pools, greater resistance to damage, and adjusted multiplayer scaling. Additionally, quest frequency for higher-difficulty missions and multi-monster encounters has been improved, alongside tweaks to tempered monster spawn rates.

Monster Hunter Wilds update 1.011 also makes a number of balance changes to various weapon classes. Notable adjustments include performance enhancements to the Hammer, Hunting Horn, Gunlance, Light Bowgun, and Heavy Bowgun. The Gunlance in particular sees improvements to Artian weapon parameters. Capcom has promised that weapon balancing will continue into future updates, with Title Update 2 set to further refine the Hammer and introduce changes for weapons such as the Dual Blades.
