2K has released a new gameplay update for NBA 2K26, focusing on improving contest coverage mechanics. The adjustment reduces the impact of height mismatches, allowing shorter defenders to generate stronger contests against taller shooters.
Additionally, well-positioned and well-timed contests now further reduce the shooter’s green window, making strong defensive play more effective. No other gameplay systems, such as shooting mechanics or overall difficulty, have been altered with this update.
