Rumor: New Ratchet and Clank Game Is In Development For PS4 According To Ex-IGN Editor
Ratchet and Clank fans have been waiting for a new game in the series for a long time now. There is a hope for a new Ratchet and Clank game which might arrive sooner than you think.
The first Ratchet and Clank game was remade by Insomniac Games and launched alongside a movie in 2016. Insomniac Games has since then worked on Marvel’s Spider-Man, which they released in 2018. They are silent about a brand new Ratchet and Clank game but after the success of Marvel’s Spider-Man, it won’t be surprising to see them working on a new one.

Ratchet and Clank was one of the best selling games for Insomniac before they released Marvel’s Spider-Man. It was also the fastest selling game in the series. Despite being a full remake, the visuals were completely revamped closely matching the CGI movie.
The source of this new Ratchet and Clank game rumor is Colin Moriarity, who previously worked at IGN. He gives the fans of the series a tease by saying that this is not the last time they have heard of Ratchet and Clank on PS4. Since PS5 and next-generation consoles are reportedly arriving in 2020, this is an interesting comment.

He talks about it in his podcast at the 1:14:40 mark. His comment makes it sound like a new game is launching on the PS4 soon, and if we go by the Remake route, then it is possible that Insomniac might remake the second game for the PS4 after the success of the first one.
