Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 is an upcoming crossover fighting game developed by Ludosity/Fair Play Labs and published by GameMill Entertainment. The sequel to Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl is slated for release on November 3, 2023, across multiple platforms, including Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
Similar to its predecessor, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 retains the core concept of being a 2D platform fighter, featuring beloved characters from various Nickelodeon franchises. However, the gameplay has undergone significant updates and improvements. Characters’ movesets have been overhauled, and new mechanics have been introduced, including horizontal attacks and dodge rolling. One notable addition is the incorporation of a new meter system, allowing players to accumulate and utilize energy in unique ways. This meter can be used to increase damage, execute attack cancels, and perform character-specific “Ultimate” abilities.
Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl 2 features a single-player campaign, where players are tasked with thwarting Vlad Plasmius’s attempt to conquer the multiverse. This campaign incorporates roguelike elements, boss battles, and character-specific story paths. Additionally, the game offers an improved arcade mode, introduces new mini-games, and presents modes like a boss rush. Some stages have been updated to make it possible to pick alternate layouts. Furthermore, the game now supports cross-platform play for its online multiplayer.
