The full console mockup and accessories for the unannounced Nintendo Switch 2 have been revealed at CES 2025.

Gaming accessories manufacturer Genki revealed a mockup of the Nintendo Switch 2 at CES 2025, claiming that it is based on the actual console. It also shared a video featuring the Nintendo Switch successor along with its dock. The video was later made available on the manufacturer’s official website. It is claimed hat the unannounced console will launch in April, 2025.

Furthermore, the manufacturer has revealed details about eight accessories expected to launch alongside the console. Unlike official partners, Genki, not being in contract with Nintendo, is free to showcase its products in advance.

On display at its stall, Genki provided a glimpse of the Joy-Con 2 controllers, highlighting the oft-rumored optical sensor. However, while the sensor’s existence is confirmed, Genki admitted to not having tested any games using the technology. The mysterious “C button” on the right Joy-Con remains another unexplained feature.

As for the Nintendo Switch 2 mockup itself, it is visibly larger than its predecessor, and features magnetic Joy-Con attachments with a release button mechanism for a more sturdy grip. Additionally, the mockup features a second USB-C port at the top of the console. Joy-Con 2 controllers with colored joysticks were also displayed, though Genki restricted filming, leaving some ambiguity about whether the accessories are genuine or promotional replicas.

The aforementioned “C button” may have something to do with the “surprise feature” that insider NextHandheld had previously talked about. They had also revealed the Joy-Cons’ ability to be detached from the console via a rear button. Additionally, they had claimed that the controllers will feature hall effect analog sticks.

The insider had also claimed that Nintendo is planning to launch a special game bundle for the Switch 2 that includes a game with a “9” in its name. The first title that comes to mind is a potential Mario Kart 9.
