PlayStationSize on Twitter/X has revealed the pre-load date and download size for Nioh 3, courtesy of recent database entries made to PlayStation servers. The upcoming action role-playing game will take up a large chunk of storage space on the PS5. As such, those with limited available space on the internal storage drive are advised to clear up some space in advance. It goes without saying that storage expansion options are available for those who need them.

The pre-load for Nioh 3 will come with the latest version pre-installed for anyone who pre-ordered a digital copy of the game, though an update may be rolled out closer to the game’s release on February 6, 2026. Meanwhile, those who purchased a physical copy will likely be required to download a day one update. The download size of the PS5 version of Nioh 3 (75.067 GB) is notably larger than that of the original Nioh (55.250 GB) as well as Nioh 2 (52.955 GB) for PS4.
The review embargo for Nioh 3 is expected to be lifted close to launch day. While the exact time has not been confirmed, it will likely follow typical patterns, with the embargo lifting at 12 AM PT / 3 AM ET / 9 AM CET.
