Bethesda has released Update 1.2 for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered, focusing on improving gameplay stability, quest functionality, user interface issues, and overall performance. This new update also introduces expanded combat difficulty customization, allowing players to fine-tune both player and enemy damage independently through a new tiered system ranging from “Novice” to “Master.”
While this update is currently limited to Steam Beta participants, it will eventually roll out to all supported platforms including PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. The update brings a broad range of fixes, from correcting visual glitches and crashes to optimizing systems such as animation, lighting, and water rendering. Several longstanding quest bugs and crashes—particularly those related to the Shivering Isles and Knights of the Nine DLCs—have also been resolved.
