The original voice actor behind Dead Rising protagonist Frank West has offered an explanation regarding his absence from Deluxe Remaster.
Twitch Streamer and Twitter/X user RXYSinister (via) had the opportunity to speak to Terence Rotolo, the voice actor behind Dead Rising protagonist Frank West. During their discussion, the latter shared that the reason why he will not be returning to do voice overs for Frank West in Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster is simply because Capcom did not contact him. He said that the reasons behind this decision are the producers’ own. He also expressed his gratitude to fans for every opportunity in helping to bring the character of Frank West to life.
Twitter/X user FrankByDaylight, who is up to date on everything related to the Dead Rising series, speculated that the reason why Capcom didn’t contact Terence Rotolo is due to his affiliation with unions. According to him, Capcom has a bias against anyone who is Union-oriented.
Recent screenshots from Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster reveal a large zombie count, new weapons, as well as improved environments. One of them features a rocket launcher among the weapons that are available for protagonist Frank West to use. Additionally, it appears that the simultaneous zombie count has received a boost over the original. The environments have also received a major overhaul. These changes suggest that Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster is more of a remake.
