Outriders Worldslayer has received a mature rating from ESRB revealing information on some of the in-game content including weapons and enemies.
According to ESRB, Outriders Worldslayer is rated Mature 17+ for Blood and Gore, Intense Violence, Strong Language, and Suggestive Themes.
This is a third-person shooter in which players assume the role of a genetically modified soldier on a quest to save humanity. As players explore an alien planet, they interact with characters, complete missions, and engage in battles against human raiders and alien creatures. Players use machine guns, rifles, and magical abilities (e.g., technomancy, elemental skills) to kill enemies in frenetic combat. Battles are accompanied by realistic gunfire, frequent explosions, and large blood-splatter effects. Some attacks result in decapitation/dismemberment, leaving blood stains and body parts on the ground; alien carcasses and human corpses can also be seen. A handful of cutscenes depict gore and other acts of violence: characters shot in the head at close range; a character impaled through the chest; a man’s severed head given to a character. As players progress, they can interact with prostitute characters; some dialogue also references suggestive material (e.g., “How about all the times I wrapped my legs around you”; “I took you from a whorehouse. A little gratitude would be nice.”). The words “f**k” and “sh*t” are heard in dialogue.
Outriders Worldslayer will be the first major expansion for the game since it launched last April. It is available as part of a bundle with the base game for $59.99 or can be purchased separately for $19.99.
Outriders was one of the first major Square Enix published games to launch on the same day on Xbox Game Pass. It is also one of the few remaining IPs that is still retained by Square Enix.
Outriders Worldslayer will be out in Summer 2022 for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and PC.
