SEGA has officially revealed that Justine and Caroline from Persona 5 Royal are joining Persona5 The Phantom X, marking a major addition as the game approaches its Half-Year Anniversary. The announcement kicks off the countdown to Version 2.7, which launches on December 25 and introduces a wave of in-game rewards, special events, and community-focused campaigns across both mobile and PC platforms.
The reveal was accompanied by a special teaser trailer released on December 20, representing the first time Persona5 The Phantom X has unveiled a new character simultaneously worldwide. While SEGA has not yet shared full gameplay details, the teaser confirms that the twin wardens will play a central role in the upcoming anniversary content, with more information scheduled to be revealed in the days leading up to the update.
As part of the Half-Year Anniversary celebration, players can log in daily from December 18 through December 24 to receive in-game countdown gifts. Each day grants 50 Meta Jewels along with a Kagura Bell. Meta Jewels can be used in the in-game shop for contracts and other items, while Kagura Bells are tied to a new Prayers feature planned for a future update, giving the rewards longer-term value beyond the anniversary period.
SEGA is also extending the celebration beyond the game itself through a series of real-world collaborations. One of the first confirmed partnerships is with DARTSLIVE, which will offer exclusive Persona5 The Phantom X-themed digital content. DARTSLIVE members will be able to download a Justine and Caroline-themed wallpaper at no cost, alongside access to a special P5X-themed darts game featuring unique visuals and animations inspired by the mobile title.
Players who participate in the collaboration game can unlock additional digital rewards, such as LIVE EFFECTS and THEMES, based on how often they play. In addition, 5,555 DARTSLIVE3 users will be randomly selected to receive physical FUN DARTS featuring a calling card design. The collaboration also brings back the option to purchase select Persona 5 Royal digital content, alongside new Persona5 The Phantom X themed items. This campaign will run until January 28, 2026.
Further details on Justine and Caroline’s role in Persona5 The Phantom X will be shared during a dedicated broadcast later this month. Persona X Stream Version 2.7 Half-Year Anniversary Special Edition is scheduled to air on December 23 at 12:00 PM UTC. The stream will cover the anniversary roadmap, upcoming events, and an in-depth look at the twins’ special battle abilities once they arrive in-game.
The broadcast will feature a lineup of familiar names from the development team, including P5X Chief Producer Yohsuke Uda from ATLUS, Development Producer Jun Matsunaga from SEGA, and Operations Director Yuta Sakai. Hosting duties will be handled by Neki Matsuzawa, with Satomi Akesaka, the voice actor for Tomoko Noge, appearing as assistant MC.
To accompany the update, SEGA has also launched a dedicated Half-Year Anniversary website that serves as a central hub for all related announcements and campaigns. As part of the site launch, players can enter a social media promotion that offers a chance to win a $100 Amazon gift card by sharing content directly from the site.
Persona5 The Phantom X launched on June 26, 2025, and is available as a free-to-play title on iOS, Android, Google Play Games, and PC via Steam.
