PlayStation Stars Program Experiences Outage, Reward Points Vanished For Users
Sony Interactive Entertainment’s reward program, PlayStation Stars, is experiencing outage, as previously earned reward points have vanished for users.
PlayStation Stars users are reporting that the reward program is facing some kind of an outage, as previously earned reward points can no longer be accessed for redemption. For some users, the PlayStation Stars icon on the main section on the PS App for mobile devices is no longer visible, while those who do see the icon receive a sign up message upon interacting with it.
A Reddit member opted to contact PlayStation support regarding the reward program’s outage. In response, they were told that they are not a member of PS Stars to begin with, and this explained the issue. The Reddit member mentioned that they had clearly explained their issue to support, while also citing the comments section of the above linked Reddit thread as proof of others also being affected.
While the above Reddit member wasn’t able to get anywhere with support, another member did get some answers. The latter were informed that PlayStation Stars is currently unavailable, and that the relevant team is currently working hard to investigate and restore access to it as soon as possible. In addition, they were told to check the PSN Status Indicator for the latest updates surrounding the PlayStation Stars outage. They further clarified that this is a general problem with the PS app and PlayStation Stars program.
Recently, it was reported that Stellar Blade, was added as a reward for PlayStation Stars members. PlayStation Stars members therefore have the opportunity to redeem their reward points in exchange for Shift Up’s action adventure game. Once PS Stars is back up, those who are interested should take a look at their accumulated reward points and find out if they are eligible to grab the title. Doing so will require a total of 17,500 reward points for redemption on PlayStation Stars.
