The game is set in the fictional city of Krat, offering a dark reinterpretation of Carlo Collodi’s classic 1883 tale, The Adventures of Pinocchio. Players assume the role of Pinocchio, a puppet brought to life, as he explores a world torn apart by a deadly petrification disease and a violent puppet rebellion. Alongside its literary roots, the game’s aesthetic and world-building are heavily inspired by the Belle Epoque era, while its gameplay mechanics draw from the Soulslike subgenre, known for its challenging combat and deep lore.
