Sony has announced the PS5 Prism Collection, a new range of transparent DualSense wireless controllers and PS5 console covers launching from February 4, 2027. The collection features three colour options: Flare Orange, Emerald Green and Graphite Gray, with pre-orders opening on November 10, 2026.
According to Sony, the designs take inspiration from the transparent controller trend of the late 1990s, reworked to complement the PlayStation 5’s design. Each accessory features a glossy finish, with the transparent materials offering a closer look at the hardware beneath the surface.
The Flare Orange design uses a bright orange finish that takes on a rosy hue where the transparent material overlaps. Emerald Green features a deep green appearance, while Graphite Gray uses a cooler, storm-grey tone.
Sony’s Color, Material, and Finish design team shared details about the collection’s development. Leo Cardoso said the goal was to bring back the see-through style in a modern form that suits the PS5’s industrial design. Satoshi Aoyagi explained that the DualSense controllers feature a high-gloss clear finish across the back, alongside a metallic middle cover that creates contrast between the surfaces.
The Prism Collection DualSense wireless controllers will cost $84.99 in the US, €84.99 in Europe and £74.99 in the UK. Sony also listed a Japanese price of ¥12,480, including tax.
Matching PS5 console covers will be priced at $74.99 in the US, €74.99 in Europe and £64.99 in the UK. The Japanese price is ¥9,980, including tax. These covers will be sold directly through PlayStation where available, with limited quantities offered through selected retailers in other regions.
Pre-orders begin on November 10 at 10am local time through PlayStation’s direct store where available and participating retailers. In the US, direct pre-orders open at 7am PT and 10am ET. Players in the UK and several European countries can also order through PlayStation’s online hardware store.
Sony notes that launch dates and availability may vary by country or region.
