PS5 Pro Upgrade for Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster Brings Improved Reflections at 60 FPS, Comparison Inside

Capcom has officially announced that they will release a PS5 Pro upgrade for the Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster, which will enhance reflections and introduce other visual improvements.

This announcement was made during Capcom’s livestream at the Tokyo Game Show 2024. Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster is among the titles receiving a PS5 Pro upgrade, featuring enhancements such as improved reflections. The game already runs at 60 FPS on the base PS5, and the new visual improvements, including the enhanced reflections, will not affect the frame rate. This allows PS5 Pro owners to enjoy the game with improved visuals without sacrificing performance.

Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster, which is built on Capcom’s RE Engine, was recently released on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series S|X. Even on base consoles, the game maintains a solid 60 FPS despite rendering large numbers of zombies on screen. However, the PS5 Pro will offer further enhancements, including higher-quality, potentially ray-traced reflections, aligning the console version more closely with the high-end PC experience.

The remaster is a reimagining of the original Dead Rising game, featuring updated visuals and quality-of-life improvements. The RE Engine, which powers the remaster, is also used in other popular Capcom games like Street Fighter 6, Devil May Cry 5, and Dragon’s Dogma 2. It will also be used in upcoming titles such as Monster Hunter Wilds and possibly Resident Evil 9.

The PS5 Pro will launch on November 7, priced at $699. It will come equipped with a more powerful GPU and 2 TB SSD storage, along with features like PSSR, which allows developers to upscale games to higher resolutions without significantly impacting the GPU. Games supporting the PS5 Pro at launch include titles like Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, and others.

Dead Rising Deluxe Remaster is available now for PS5, Xbox Series S|X, and PC.
