This is the extent of the changes that are made in the new PS5 system software update, however, it is possible that Sony has made some changes that might not be for the end user but rather to improve the security of the system.

Recently, some of the modders were able to successfully use an exploit on the older PS5 consoles with a dated firmware that allowed them to run patched versions of the PS4 games. This led to games like The Order 1886 and Red Dead Redemption 2 running at 60 FPS on the PS5. These were the backward-compatible PS4 version of the games that could be unlocked to run at 60 FPS.

Sony hasn’t shared the details on when the next major PS5 system software update will be released, but it usually happens at the end of the beta testing stage. Since the PS5 system software beta is still ongoing, it will take some time to get this firmware ready for a public launch.
