Psychonauts 2 Developers Didn’t Have To Crunch To Get The Game Out

Psychonauts 2 is joining the league of games like Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart for no mandatory crunch for the developers, which is a rare trend in the industry.

Crunching is something that most major game developers had to go through in order to get their games out on their given release date. However, in recent times, we have learned that Insomniac Games didn’t have to put their staff through crunch to get Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart out in time for the PS5, and the same is the case for Psychonauts 2, which is out on August 25.

This is according to Kevin Johnson, the senior producer at Double Fine Productions, the developers behind Psychonauts 2. In a tweet, the developer confirmed that they didn’t have to crunch for the game.

“Fun fact: Psychonauts 2 has had no crunch The team has been amazing and I’m proud to have been a part of something so special that’s been made in the schedule we set forth. I think you’ll have fun too, ” said Kevin Johnson.

The game has recently been rated by ESRB. The game is also confirmed. to come to the PS4 but it won’t support a native PS5 version. It is being developed by Double Fine Productions under the direction of Tim Schafer.
