Ubisoft has announced that Rayman Legends Retold will now release on December 3, 2026, after the developer decided to delay the upcoming action platformer despite the game having officially gone gold. The title was previously scheduled to launch on October 1.

The Rayman Dev Team said the additional time will be used to ensure that every aspect of the game receives the necessary attention before release. The team also confirmed that a Game Overview trailer will debut on September 22, when selected creators and members of the press will also publish new hands-on impressions.

Rayman Legends Retold is being developed by Ubisoft Montpellier alongside Ubisoft Milan and is planned for Windows, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch 2. The game is a reimagined version of the 2013 platformer Rayman Legends, featuring updated visuals, redesigned levels, additional worlds, and expanded cooperative modes including Kung Foot.

The announcement comes with a message of appreciation from the development team. “On behalf of all the teams working on this game, thank you for your patience, support and trust,” the Rayman Dev Team said.
